The casino was decent (but mostly empty compared to the other casinos) and the buffet was decent (the breakfast buffet is not that great compared to other casinos like Paris). The room was spacious and despite it being a smoking room, there was no smoke smell. There is a lot of construction going on at this hotel (which is being converted into Planet Hollywood Hotel) so it is sometime a little noisy (and dusty) and hard to find access to the front entrance to the strip. This could have been because I was there on a very busy week but when I’m paying corporate rates to stay at this hotel, you expect a little more accommodation on behalf of the staff. I ended up with a room with NO VIEW and a handicap shower stall which leaked water all over the bathroom floor. It was really late at night and I was tired so I told them to just give me a room but to one with a nice view as compensation.
I gave them a confirmation receipt that showed that I clearly had booked a non-smoking room but they said nothing can be done about it. Upon arrival, I had to wait in a very long line (2am in the morning after catching a red eye from NY) and when I reached the counter, I was told that only SMOKING rooms were available.
My assistant booked the room and gave me a confirmation that I was confirmed for a king bed in a non-smoking room. I recently stayed at Aladdin while attending the CES conference.
